The 15th International Conference on Semi-Solid Processing of Alloys and Composites will be held from October 22nd to 24th, 2018 by Southern University of Science and Technology of China in Shenzhen, China. The S2P International Conferences are dedicated to the research on science and technology of semi-solid processing of aluminums alloys and composites. The conference will provide an excellent platform for scientists, engineers and manufacturing experts to communicate with and learn from each other, to disseminate and share their knowledge outcomes. The topics of this conference will include but not limited to the following: (1) material development and characterization, (2) technologies of preparation semi-solid slurry, (3) rheology, modeling and simulation of metals, (4) industrial applications of semi-solid processing, (5) green design and green manufacturing of moulds.
Up to February 15th, the committee has reviewed and accepted about 90 abstracts (abstracts from overseas account for around 52%) from 20 different countries. Prof. Merton. C. Flemings at MIT, the creator of semi-solid processing technology, Prof. Baicheng Liu of Tsinghua University, the Academician of China Engineering Academy, Prof. Véronique Favier, Prof. Xiangjie Yang, Prof. Annalisa Pola and Dr. Johannes Winklhofer will give keynote speeches. The conference has received extensive attention and strong support from experts and scholars around the world.
