Wang Qiang is in charge of the National Key RESEARCH and DEVELOPMENT Program of the 14th Five-Year Plan in China, and he has obtained his engineering PhD degree from Akita Prefectural University in Japan under the supervision of Prof. Wu Yongbo who is internationally famous in the field of precision machining. In May 2017, he joined Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) as a visiting student. In November 2018, he joined SUSTech as a postdoctoral fellow. Since 2021, he has been working as a research assistant professor and postgraduate supervisor in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering in SUSTech. His main research direction is ultrasonic assisted precision machining technology and equipment and industrialization, with more than 10 academic papers published, owning nearly 10 national patents, one academic book co-authored in English. Prof. Wang won a number of national, provincial and municipal innovation and Entrepreneurship competition awards, an was selected in Youth Entrepreneurship list of Science and Technology Innovation of China (Shenzhen U30) 2021. Arming to fully integrate with the industrial circle to carry out industrial application research, and to promote Industry-University Cooperation of precision machining technology and industrialization of scientific research achievements, Mr. Wang hosts and participates in a number of national, provincial and municipal science and technology projects, and R&D projects of School-run enterprises, especially focuses on the research and industrialization of precision machining technology and equipment for advanced difficult-to-process fine material components of new-generation 3C products.
