Research Interests: involves microstructural simulation and phase transformation of laser assisted additive manufacturing process using phase field method.
Ali Jammal finished his PhD degree in Tsinghua University Under the guidance of Prof. Yiming (Kevin) Rong in Mechanical Engineering in 2016. His BS degree was awarded from the University of Balamand in Lebanon, and MS degree from Brunel University in London, UK. His current research involves microstructural simulation and phase transformation of laser assisted additive manufacturing process using phase field method. In the past, he has worked on topics including multi stage wind turbine gearbox dynamics, micro-fatigue and structural analysis.
