The SUSTech team was led by Associate Professor Ke Wende and Assistant Professor Zhao Yonghua, both from the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering. The student team included Jie Yu, Wang Wenhui, Wang Kangrui, Guo Weijie, Liu Haiyuan, Shi Jin, Wen Qi, Wang Qixin and Hu Yunqiang, and they won numerous awards, including first prize in the humanoid robot boxing competition. They also earned second prize of humanoid robot balance beam competition, humanoid robot horizontal bar project and humanoid robot fencing project. They earned third place in competitions for robot fighting (medium group), innovation, humanoid robot single dance, and humanoid robot free combat.
The National Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition is hosted by the Chinese Artificial Intelligence Society Robot Culture and Art Committee. Held annually, it is the largest and most influential national intelligent robot technology competition in China. For the first time, the “AI+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held concurrently. This competition included “AI+” digital creative design, “AI+” technology and algorithm practice. The competition aims to promote the deep integration of AI technology and industry, while accelerating the popularization of artificial intelligence applications and personnel training.
